We have just returned from a three day long trading expedition. We traded with three Indian tribes. The Indians had dark skin and the men had at least one feather in their hair. They wore clothes made of animal skins. They liked the beads better than the trinkets. At first they wanted to give us decorative feathers, but we insisted that they give us beaver furs. We came home with 38 beaver furs which is 1 1/9 of a barrel.

We had a lot of people but almost no house. We had 25 acres of food planted. We almost had enough beaver furs to pay off our debt but were short by one-tenth of a barrel. We didn't get a peace treaty with the Indians and are working toward it. We were also able to teach our children english customs.
