I had learned about how the pilgrims were thankful for many things at the very first Thanksgiving feast. I am very thankful for my family and I am sure that there were many pilgrims that were thankful for their family members too. I am thankful for my family because they are very nice and I feel lucky to have them as a family.

When we started to trade with the Native Americans (Wampanoag tribe), we were very surprised to see that the Native Americans were harmless to us. Dad (Clark Richmond) had told us that we really needed beaver skin and that the Native Americans had some. We asked to trade beads and trinkets. The Wampanoag tribe thought about it for awhile and then deiced that it would be a fair trade. We were so happy that we were able to get the beaver fur. When we were together, I noticed that the Native Americans were wearing different clothes than us and they were almost a little surprised that we were so kind to them. We walked away with 32 beaver skins.
Ms. Duffy told us that we needed to use teamwork to build a shelter to protected us from bad storms. Our group flipped a penny to see how many minutes we would have to build our shelters. We got lucky because we got 15 minutes to build. In order to build, we needed one person to grab trees. We could only grab two trees at a time. We cut out the trees into several wood pieces. Then we glued the wood pieces onto the log cabin while we colored the roof and window yellow. Then we colored the door and chimney brown. When 5 minutes had gone by, other groups were allowed to start their shelters. We all had 10 minutes left to build. We were lucky to get 5 extra minutes because of our penny flip. In all, we were able to build 6 shelters for our colony in 15 minutes.
At school today, I learned a lot about Native Americans. The first tribe was the Wampanoag tribe. It takes lots of skill to do what the Wampanoag tribe did. They knew how to shoot arrows from a bow and arrow. They also knew how to cook a rabbit into sobaheg. They made traps to catch food and they could make fires. They killed animals to eat, but they were still nice because they gave it a blessing before they eat it to be thankful. One day, when Wampanoag tribe was working, they decided to go get their corn. They had been saving the corn because a while ago many of the Native Americans in their tribe had gotten sick. However, when they got there they notice all the corn was gone! They thought it was the pilgrims and it was! The pilgrims had just landed on Cape Cod where the Wampanoag tribe was. The Native Americans were worried about the pilgrims but they kept safe and stayed alive.
I know a lot about pilgrims and will tell you about them. In 1620, pilgrims were just normal people, but they were commanded by Lord King James (which the pilgrims did not enjoy). The pilgrims wanted to find a new life, in fact, you may think they could not do anything, but instead they got an idea. All the pilgrims got together and set sail on a ship called the Mayflower. The ship was huge! It had 6 sails and 55 lines! There were about 102 pilgrims on the ship and about 20 crew members on the ship. At first, the weather was fine until it got harsh and the ship got rocked! The pilgrims were very worried. All the pilgrims knew they had to eat on the boat. Some of the foods they would eat were peas, pork, fish, cheese, beans, and other foods. The pilgrims ate these foods because you can store them for a long time. Soon a horrible thing happened. Many pilgrims got very sick and weak along their journey. They stayed strong and finally were able to land at Cape Cod.

Hi there! I'm writing from Egypt. It's so hot here! But it's also so cool here! I got to see the Great Sphinx of Giza and the Great Pyramid of Giza. There both so huge! I noticed that people in Egypt wear different cloths than us. Women wear a black dress over their house cloths. They also wear a veil that covers their head and face. Men wear tunics witch are long t-shirts that go down to your knees.
