Dear Grandpa,
November 26th 1621 We are alive! well 42 of us at least. We got 23 acres we were only able to make 2 house we did get the peace treaty with the native americans and we did get religious freedom we have went though tough winter and time on the mayflower but our luck coming back to us because we met the natives and they helped us out getting fish and other things but we got lots of fish so we had lots of food so we had plenty of food and finally we survived all the harsh times but most important we are alive! Sincerely, Samuel Browne March 5th 1621
Dear Grandpa We have lost 27 colonists some have died from hunger illness it is very hard to get food most of us died were getting sick by working and we are not getting much food because of this and we have about 40 pilgrims left and it's going to be less if we don't start getting food. sincerely, Samuel browne December 15th 1620
