Dear Aunt Lizzy, We have survived the first year! I am so happy. Now we have plenty of food and we are going to have a feast to celebrate. We have 42 survivors left. and we have 23 acres of food. We have sadly only built 2 houses and we have no barrels of fur. On the bright side we got a peace treaty and got religious freedom. Sincerely, Alice Browne

Dear Aunt Lizzy, It's been about 3 months after our arrival. We are building houses but we have lost many more people. Our food situation is bad. I am so hungry and everyone else is too. I guess I am doing good besides the food problem. Sincerely, Alice Browne December 19th 1620
Dear Aunt Lizzy, I am cold tired and hungry. Before we left the ship we were all fighting so we wrote a Mayflower Compact to figure out who was going to be in charge. We have lost 10 Pilgrams in total. The men are building our settlements and many people are sick and it is cold and wet. Sincerely, Alice Browne December 15th 1620
Dear Aunt Lizzy, In the begining we stayed on deck until the storms came in then all the pilgrams had to stay in a room a the bottom of the ship. We were there for 65 days straight with many strangers and had no privacy. At times I would have to stay in my cold wet cloths for days. I was mostly bored but at times pilgrams got tosed around by the ship moving. All we had to eat was oatmeal, peas, pork, fish, beans, cheese and other such foods witch was pretty good. Finally after many weeks we arived in the new world. Sincerely, Alice Browne |
