Dear Keith , We have been getting little progress on building houses we only have 2 houses and a common house. The deaths are bad we have lost 73 so that means we only have 30 left. The food situation is ok i guess. We only have 4 acres of land to grow crops. Are you doing good? How is it in England it is probably better there than here right? Sincerely , Thomas Moore December 8th 1620
Dear Keith , How are you doing you are probably doing good there in England but things are rough here the men here are working 12 hours a day. We have lost 8 Pilgrims since I last talked with you and some of the men are to weak to work from the bad weather. Before we came to land we wrote a Mayflower compact. We wrote it because some of the men thought they could do what they want since we are not under the King and Queens power. Here is a summary of what the compact looked like, we have voted that we will not have a King or a Queen, Abigail will make the decision of who will get what job someone will get and i'm the leader John is the army leader and Alma will take over if i am sick. Dear Keith K. , When I first saw the Mayflower I was it awe. When we got on though and started the journey it go very well. I had to sit squished with 102 people in a little corridor while the crew members got to stretch.A bad storm hit us and we got blown off course. A person sadly got very ill and died. The good side is a baby boy named oceanans was born. We are all very wet and we do not get to change are clothes it is very miserable here but it is probably good there. Sincerely Thomas |
