🦃 Today we learned that it was a lot of work for the first Thanksgiving. Today I am thankful for my family, and how they make my meals and keep me safe. Another thing I am thankful for is food and how it gets in my belly three times a day. I am also thankful for school because I am way more educated than I would be without it. 🦃

Today we traded with the natives because we needed enough beaver fur to keep our supplies. The natives looked different. The men wore feathers in their hair and the women wore tan dresses. The natives loved the colorful metallic beads and trinkets. We came home with 32 beaver furs enough to fill a barrel.
Our colony was building houses today. We had to cut down the trees and then chop them into logs. We had to be careful though if we put a log in the wrong spot the house would claps sooner or later. We ended up making 6 houses but we lost 8 people. We were yelling at each other and giving commands. We also realized we needed to live in peace natives to surive.
We left on September 6 1620. Crossing the great ocean was an adventure. At first the weather was exceptional then it changed and the seas became harsh. At one point we feared for our lives when the ship rocked back and forth. Life on the ship was hard because of the weather and food. Finally we reached land. The voyage took us 65 days. We were relieved when we got off the ship.
We arrived at the New World on November 11 1620. Our colony in the New World did not have a government. So we stayed on board our ship and made a plan for governing our colony. We elected Clark Richmond as our colony leader. He will be responsible for protecting us and giving fair rules. We all agreed to work together. After we signed the agreement we went ashore and set up sentries because we needed to make shelter so we are safe.
My name is Fiona. I am 33 years old. There are 5 people in my family. First, my family tried to live in England but I had to live by the religion of King James which I do not like. Then, I tried to live in Holland but I could not find a job that pays me well and my kids lived like the Dutch I want them to live English. So I settled in a new world.
Today while visiting France I learned that the money is a Euro they are more than U.S money.Did you know that the Eiffel tower grows an inch every year because of the metal and the sun? France is the most visited country in the world over 80 million visitors come every year. I was so excited to see the Eiffel tower at night when it is glowing. Anther cool thing I learned about France is that The Louvre Pyramid is a big pyramid made out of glass. Croissants are very popular here. Especially the chocolate filled ones. They have them for breakfast all most everyday It is CRAZY! I couldn't believe that they play rugby, which is a sport. This is a picture of the Louvre. This is the flag.
